will cerro wire vinylon-u4/0 awg wire work for my house batteries and inverter? the wire is rated at 600v. i believe it is used for underground.

Cerro Wire and Cable is the manufacturer, Vinylon-u, is a trade name for the propritary thermo-plastic insulation, 4/0 is the AWG Size (American Wire Guage) Look for another set of specifications such as: THHN, THWN, MTW, FEP, etc. Also a temperature range i.e. 75 C., 90C., or 105 C. If it is only listed as Type US or USE, you can't use it. 4/0 may be big enough, depending on the number and type of battery you buy. You will probably be happier with Type SOW or SJOW welding cable.
