Buswarrior has now left the snow covered BNO bunker and will soon be off to Jack & Paula's Busin' 2011. Why, oh why, is this of any interest to the audience here gathered? As previously noted on this bulletin board, BW, self named a techno mule, came to the worldwide headquarters of BNO, in Uxbridge, Ontario, Canada, (otherwise known as "where's that?"... yes, even Torontonians don't know where we are and to that I say Google Maps, folks, Google Maps) but I digress! BW took a quick training session on how to do some technical stuff that will bring a new and exciting little surprise to our hobby and to Jack & Paula's final rally. For the first time ever in our hobby, BNO will be streaming a live video and audio feed from Arcadia to this bulletin board, our Facebook page, and to a special web page we have created for this event!! Our intent is to broadcast all seminars (with the permission of their respective facilitators), get a live view of some of the entertainment, many of the buses and we'll even have a spot where people can sit in front of the camera and say hi to the rest of the bus conversion hobby enthusiasts. ALL LIVE!! Finally, a way for those who can't make it to the premier rally of the year to connect some of the faces to their profile names and to peek in on some of the fun! Ian, will the content (or at least some of it) be archived so it can be watched kinda like clicking on a video? I'm going to be away from my computer for the next couple of weeks (or maybe I'll have access only a couple of hours a day) and it would be a wonderful thing to be able to "timeshift" this content. Yes, the feed will be recorded and available for later review, and I guess editing... A number of online auctions may be set up where by a busnut and the audience may bid for controlling access to the most embarrassing moments... Bruce, Yes, as BW has noted! I would think that a lilttle editing will be required before I roll that out, but the festivities will be available in a time shift format. During the actual live feed, each previously recorded segment will be available to watch right away. Ian www.busnut.com | ||

Just got back home from Arcadia and a short visit with family near Ocala. Got to see RJ and BW both do their seminar, saw Viv/Nellie for half a second wed afternoon and had a pretty good time. The buses and people are the stars. I liked the brake and safety seminars. Jack and Paula did a nice farewell hosting for sure. Got the feeling there will be some changes next year. Attendence was down a little probably because of the weather leading into the rally and price of fuel.Thanks to all who made it happen | ||

Sorry Gomer! I wasent even thinking! Why werent you in Arcadia? I was so close but short on time. I did see the MCI at the Detroit dealer (the one out back with all fiberglass siding). I predict by next year i will have somekind of notebook pc or phone with email/net capacity. The little paper notes and notebooks dont cut it. |
