Looking to purchase a Prevost bus conversion (early to mid 1990's). Have had buses for the past 20 years (1972 GMC 4108 & 1984 Eagle 10). We are headed to Florida for 6 weeks from Maine, so we could stop and look at some on the way down or while we are in Florida. Please e-mail me with contact numbers at: dktracytracy@aol.com if you know of any for sale. Thanks, Eagle 10

HECK, Mine could always be up for sale if the money was right! I know where there is an H3 45 I would love to have and convert and incorporate the needed changes we feel we need now that we have used it more often!

Ace, a friend of mine says that the best way to build the perfect bus conversion is to build a second one. (But that's a frightening thought!)

Ace ;; Ain't it?? LOL I thought it was? Were we dreaming again, thinking that we all were finished and no more repairs, just drive till we got tired of it and went in a motel and slept good got back up and hit the road again. GEE how boring LOL

Gomer, my bus although we feel is tastefully done is far from perfection! Why do you think I have been changing things that were already done once? After using it more and more, you tend to find out what works and what doesn't!

I have quit looking because it cost me lots of cuts, bruises, temperment of a sound mind{?} the list continues. I do love to view the coaches on line coosstttiinggg lots of money $1,000,000.00 plus and just leave my money in my pocket.. LOL

Well most are pretty to look at , but squint and imagine replacing or repairing most anything. 8-10 hours to R&R an inverter?

These were usually built with so many poorly engineered systems where there is not even a schematic to figure why the blinds close when the HW heater turns on.

IF the lobby of an Italian Cat House is your dream home , you may love the look , but keeping the miles of wiring up will be a new hobby.

Yeah, I guess it's the *next* one that will be perfect!

Have any of you who are worried about the complexities of certian converted coaches ever actually did any electrical troublshooting or repairs on them?

What I have found is just the opposite. Every wire its source and termination can be easily found with the schematic.

If you have a blind going up and down with the switching of the hot water heater and for whatever reason cant get it right maybe you need to be in a Coachman.

Although many are complex I have seen very few poorly engineered in fact if I had to choose I would have to say Prevo does way more things wrong on the chassis then the converters do on the house systems.

If your looking to do a bus now keep your money in your pocket and get one already converted.

It will cost less in the end and you wont end up with a bunch of poory engineered systems.
