Hey all bus nuts in the Atlanta area ( or of easy driving distance), I'm in the process of putting together a meet-n-eat for a Sunday afternoon this fall. ( Covered dish supper) Birng bus or not. Wanna bees welcome, too. Good chance to see and inspect different kinds of busses. What I'm hoping for is that folks who like me, aren't in the completion stage to make a long trip, but would like to show-n-tell and get ideas and input from fellow bussers. Also an opporunitty to exchange parts sources and meet new friends. I have several easy locations in mind to choose from depending on number of interested folks. I figure to have folks arrive Sunday morning and leave that evening. There's lots of boondocking spots close by for those who would spend the night. What I plan to do is gather the email addresses of those who are interested, in say a week or so, and then we'd post the date question to the group to see what works best for everyone. But I'm thinking around the end of Oct or thee first of December. Before it gets too cold to be comfortable in a sweater | ||

I think there is a rally planned for the end of October approx 31st or so. It may bew someplace around south ga as it is, so you may want to check it out first! Hope this helps! Ace | ||

Thanks Ace for the heads up. When I thought of this afternoon event, I was basically trying to get the local bus nuts that I've met ( and the one I havent)over the past year together for an afternoon of visiting and share a covered dish meal. Most folks who would come to this little get together wouldnt be going to a larger overnight rally, anyway. My bus isn't in shape to make an long trip. But it will make "exercise" runs (30-50 miles). I'm not ready to make a South Ga (several hundred miles each way)or overnight trip. I'd thought others in similar circumstances would like for fellow bus nuts to have a look at their work and share suggstions and sources at a close location. (There and back in a day) I see busses parked in folks yards in our area, too. I'll drop by and invite them also. Of course, Anyone who is in for "serious" exercise ( long distance travellers) would certainly be welcome. There are great hotels and shopping nearby. Should be fun. | ||
