there are 2 different size flywheel housings.... and different diameter flywheels... same starter fits both...the larger size is mainly used in an industrial application... generator set, marine application...dozer, tractor.... the smaller is used in an automotive application... on-road truck... i think its called a SAE-2... not sure, but somebody will correwct me if im wrong.... weather report??? it was foggy this morning, cleared, then hazy this afternoon... kinda nice, really....

sure ...weather is legal...I'm 800 miles n.w. & it's been raining all day..so, as long as I don't get an industrial engine..stay with a big truck engine..should be o.k. ??

if it was in a truck, it's an automotive application....6bt is a prefix for an older 3406b.. a water to air aftercooler... where the aftercooler is mounted on the engine....what model, serial number you looking at???/

thrust bearings are on #4 main, so pulling a load on the front is no problem.. lots of boats use a front mount pto... and ive seen industrial engines with generators on both ends....try not to get an air to air aftercooler style... you'll have to figure out mounting for the aftercooler....piping runs....there are different turbo styles... you can tuck the turbo down low if you get a different manifold....air compressor is high and on the left , above the fuel system... and on the front cover, just opposite the air compressor is a place to mount the power steering pump..... you can get different pulleys for the crankshaft.... up to 6 grooves i think....the crankshaft ends right at the front cover, so balancer and puleys are held on by bolts...
