After reading the 58 hits on the other thread. We have put my radiator in the cleaning tank and I forgot to take the Shroud off, and guess what when the tank came out there is not a sign of a shroud on it !!! Anyone might help me locate one before I have to start fabing one up ?? This is in my 57 GM 4104. If it does not warm up in Tenn. I want need one. LOL | ||

Steven, Finally, I thread about buses!! Might be a little far for you, but check with Cardinal Coach in Warsaw,NC http://www.cardinalcoachnc.com/bus-parts.php I needed a shroud for my GM and found it through them. They have ALOT of GM parts buses out back. Shipping probably wouldn't be too bad on just the shroud. Brandon | ||

Steven I ran my '54 4104 five years coast to coast numerous times in all kinds of hot weather with no shroud, my main problem was keeping it warm in cool/cold weather. Evidently your shroud was Al!! Unless you lug it on long grades it won't overheat and it is a lot easier to work in that area with no shroud. | ||

Thanks for the information... It was alum. and I talked to the guy helping me on the engine and he also said that I will have more trouble trying to get it warm in cold weather.. But we dont use the bus in the winter. So I think Im going to run it like it is and see what goes. If I do need one I will call Luke first as he has help me on other things, or I will fab. one up here in shop. Thanks again Steve | ||

Steve, You can make one from Al or steel barn/shed siding or trim, real easy to pop rivet. I made one that way and found out it wasn't necessary, just in the way. |
