Maybe something for the East Texas Spring Rally

Flaming Penguin Kabob OR would it be Flaming Penguin Fid?

* 2 pounds ground or whole penguin
* 2 sliced onions
* 2 sliced green or red bell peppers
* 1 cup olive oil
* 1 bottle Bud Ice (chilled)
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
* 1/2 teaspoon ground garlic
* 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
*
* 2 Bay Leaves
* 3 sharp skewers

Slice penguin into 1-inch cubes. Mix spices in with olive oil. Marinade cubes in spice mix. Refrigerate overnight, stirring occasionally. Slice onions and bell peppers into wedges. Place vegetables and penguin cubes alternately on skewers. Brush lightly again with marinade. Grill for 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown outside. Turn and baste continually with Bud Ice. Douse lightly with brandy or lighter fluid and light before serving.

Since we're talking the only recipes I know are for DISASTER.

---And these I normally write down after they have happened to (and normally by) ME!

A somewhat foolish attempt at preventing their recurrence!

Steve,

Just wait until they start on George and his pronto pups! Or wait, maybe they are Kalaches!
Anyone got a recipe?

Then it'll be my turn under the crushing heel of the evil oppressors!
Kind and gentle person of great dignity that I am, I will bear the burden lightly for my heart is pure!

(What an opening for Flipper~)

Dallas doesn't it give you a warm feeling that others are beginning to double post for your sake as well. Good one Jim, PS lets take DOG of the menu OK, we are not in one of those heathen countries where such horrors happen. Dallas we are going to roast you know what and it will smell bad, it most likely will be tough and chewy since it's no spring chicken (no pun) but with your obvious skills in culinary arts there's a chance it may pass.

Another seCrEt message for my secret admirer,
hey Bud I hope you appreciate old jokes, I dug this one out special just for you....are you steaming yet?

"you get a warm feeling and no one notices!"

You remind me of a woman...

A woman walks into the Dr's.office
and complains about a sensitive malady
Doc, I've I have this terrible constant gas problem!
the only saving grace is that it doens't smell...
(Thurrpp)
See what I mean...?

The Doc gives her some pills & orders her back in a week
7 days later she's back...
Doc!!! those pills dint do anything for the gas
except make it stink!!
.
.
.
GOOD, now that we have your sinus infection cleared up
we can work on that lower GI problem
sez the Doc.
.
.
.
.
But you know what Dal....??
while my fingers were flyin over the keyboard
writin that ol retread...
it gave me time to think...
and I came to the realization that
the reason you are so familiar with
".. a warm feeling and no one notices!"
is because that's the exact same feeling you get
piloting that wreckage you call a coach
on public thoroughfares....
or am I wrong?
Wasn't it you said you drive mostly at night?
or
am I barking up the wrong bearded T-Shirt....?

BTW
do you have a BFH I can borrow during the Pow-Wow?
I cannot properly prepare
Horsemeat/WeinerDog Patte Filet Flambe
w/o one...

Flipper:

They call him Flipper, Flipper, Flipper,
Tasty as Seal Food!
Orca's all day,
Keep Munching away.....

And you know Flipper, Flipper, Flipper,
We know you'll come here..
and try to steal beer.

But poor old Flipper, Flipper, Flipper...
When rendered of oil
Will be good to Broil!

****************

One thing I do know about my wreckage I call a coach...
In the last seven years we've put 68,000 miles
on it in weather from -9°F to over 120°F with only a couple of minor breakdowns.
Probably not as good a record as that vaunted sports car of yours, aka: The escapee from a scrap yard. It only broke down once... and there it sits still, after how many years?

Dal
I can sit behind the wheel of My Sportscar
and go anywhere in the world & get better milage than you.....
and no tire wear!
all I have to do is close my eyes & go Purrrr.....
unless I want to go up hill then I have to go GGRRRRRRR.
Last night I drove from Tucson to Rome & back....
I'd tell you about the campground I stopped at
in Sweden
but you'd never be able to imagine it.
(they don't allow Wrecks anyway)

TowelBoy....
you're a putz...
And for a guy who considers a day successful
if he can sneak up on a mirror w/o breakin it....
you be having too much fun...
save your laughs for the 1st look at Dal's rolling Wreckage.
I'd like to say more but I got stuck in the wrong space,
Ace.

So, Well then Jack,
Your saying that you travel internationally which gives you special attributes?
Especially when you are where the Swedish campgrounds? At which point you'd have Roman hands with Rushin' Fingers?
Or would it be that you have submarine hands, (Since you are emulating a flightless bird), The ladies, and maybe some of the others, never know where your hands will come up?
Scary.... Wash with Purell often, even wash your 'druthers' with it! We want clean flippers that don't have a gift that keep on giving!

Sorry to hijack your thread Ace, I do apologize.

Oh just for your information I DO read them all! It is a HUGE change reading the funny hammering on each other you guys dish out compared to the BS that some others tend to stir the pot with and besides, I can read all of your postings and replies in a single sitting without taking a break for lunch and then coming back trying to find out where I left off and having to read over what I already read once and trying to get my mind into speed as to what it was I was actually reading in the first place.
All I got out of it was someone peed in someone else's cereal and it peed him off and he is or was at that time tired of it and now wants some sort of power if there was any to be had in the first place. I'm still a bit confused as to all but one thing I DID learn was how to shut someone up for a while~! LOL
You guys carry on as if nothing ever happened, my thread or not, it's all fun!
Now, do penquins really have wings or is that a myth? Is it like, do snakes have hips and do bears s--t in the woods or do buffalo's have humps? Or can you eat boiled dog or...

Ah the space I needed.. K
Ace, I have been peeing in your cereal for a while now!
Penguins do have wings
& they do fly...thru the water
faster than most birds do thru air.
The feathers are tiny stubs that make the "flippers" look black
like the bristle on a Pig.
...and they are little pigs.
K

It wasn't me that was shut up was it?

Oh... an they really do taste terrible
I have it 1st hand from a "survivor".
