Hide your daughters & valuables
Fooey is loose on the Interstates
travelin down the Highway
looking for adventure...

While he is gone I thought we might
kick him while he can't defend himself...

He managed to fry 2 of those ex$pen$ive funny batteries!
his dogs hold up little signs to passing cars
HELP US ESCAPE THIS MADMAN PLEASE!!!
Fooey think them cars are always cutting him off
cuz their stupid...little does he know
they're trying to give him the
PIT Maneuver !!

It will be late week-end before he arrives at Dallas' place,
probably about the time he's coming home from Sunday evening Vespers...or is it Vespa's?
either way...
we ought to be able to drum up enough things for him to ponder
when he gets access to the forum again in Franklin.

Friday after noon saw our hero making his way to Mobile from Ocala, the afternoon had been warm.
As the Sun dropped lower the glare became annoying so he parked & napped for a bit.

A bit later, refreshed & ready for several more hours of road work
...as the Moon rose over his shoulder
Fooey pressed onward, the concrete of I-10 streaming beneath his steel wheels.
About 4 miles into Alabama she greeted him
with a precious experience...
BOTH rear tires on the curb side blew
in unision... a salute if you will,
announcing his impending fleecing
at the hands of the man with the biggest wrecker or
the man with the pair of tire he'll need AND
the service truck to do the job with
on the shoulder of I-10.

Not the best start to a long journey
or the worst by any means...
nor the most expensive.

His attitude is good
and it IS just a temporary set-back
his expectations are in check
and he has the Volvo for secondary trans.
...
At 2AM he was back on the road with a set of recaps on the rear
and about to enter Mississippi.
He's layin it down for the night in a Pilot, dog & dogs tired.

If Mississippi treats him half as good as Alabama did ,
he'll be at Kevin's this time tomorrow.

L'il bit by L'il bit...
it all comes together..
as the wise one used to say.

Ah!
Outside of Baton Rouge
the outside rear dual on the Drivers side decided
to give up the grip it had on life
and our man Fooey
has had 3 rears go KA-Blooowey
he's earning his stripes the hard way.
Another pair of Truck Stop Re-Treads
& he'll be heading to Kevin's in Shriveport
....4 more hours ....

well, that's the drives all changed out...

Is he waiting for the bang or is he going to do the steers on superstition?

Note to newbies... this might not be the right strategy for the faint of heart, or those lacking in a good credit card...

happy coaching!

George managed to make it to Texas!
He shut down last night about 4 hours from Dal's on I-20
the last 200 miles should be a cake walk.

{late note: He has arrived, ostensibly in a single piece}

Oh.. hopefully his steering tires will hold until he arrives in Tucson where he can get a deal.

Dallas,
Tell him I said Hi. It was nice meeting him at Bussin' 2011, just wish I would have had more time to visit with him. And while you are at it, give Cat a big hug from Paula & I. Jack

Three in the morning and i finally can get around to this, HI all. Dallas's place is great, his cooking skills are awesome. can't wait for the event and the main course in March. have to keep the doglets on a short leash though don't want them to eat a cat or two. haven't seen a dillo yet I don't think they exist except in Dallas's mind. I am trying to catch him in the act of digging the small holes that he claims are evidence of their presence. today we are going to do a bit of maintenance on swayback ( her name for now) pack wheel bearings, oil change. I am grateful for an experienced eye over from Dallas, PS Cat his caregiver is a sweetheart Doll.

Cat really is a sweetheart..... If.....
you don't cross her! I have the scarsfrom the electrical cords to prove it!
I don't think the problem between the kitty kids and the corn dogs is too bad... once they get close enough, there are aout 3 kitties that outweigh the dogs and will relish the snack.
Not much will be accomplished by tomorrow it looks like. We are having mild drizzle and a constant misting. Enough that neither one of us want to play outside much.
Food is my passion, no.. really, it is! I'll try to cook almost anything.
Tonight is more burgers, only this time with green chiles, sweet onions, Reggiano Parmigiano, 'Roquefort' Bleu Cheese, and some apple smoked bacon.
'Dillos.... If towel boy wasn't so afeared of the dillo's he woulda saw them aout 04:00.... they were out and he hid his little noggin under the pillow, poor guy.

On a serious note, I haven't been much help on the "Eye Over" George spoke of. Keeping up with the bosses wants for the campground, and trying to finish the Valentines gift for the aforementioned Esposa have been hindering my abilities to be other places at the same time!
Darnit!

He's just worried because I bought a 100 Lb. bag of Corn Meal
and I am tenderizing them future snacks with lots of Belly Rubs....!

This is really funny...
he is sitting 3 feet away from me...
and he dint have the gutz to tell everyone here
that we stopped talking 30 minutes after he arrived....
AND I even showered!

(I doubt he'll ever find the keys to that "Volvo" that "drove" here in......cuz I hid them in his shoe...)

Old Norwegian joke. I think I picked it up here several years back:

Two Norwegian guys were fishing. One said to the other: "I think I'm going to divorce my wife. She hasn't spoken to me in three months."

The other replied: "Better think twice. A woman like that is hard to find."
