I have put up several post on fuel injectors but the one question that has still not been answered is what do the color tags mean. Brown , white, red, green.

Has to do with spray orifice diameter, number of spray holes, volume arc of injection per stroke of injector. Injector #- 50, 60 ,70, 80 etc... is total fuel volume of stroke of injector.

The color tags are used on the needle valve injectors like the brown 65 are 66 at full throttle 23 at idle, yellow 69 at full and 24 at idle and so on different setting for different colors the A through G use a spherical valve they are better injectors they use example 7E75 instead of N65 the N stands for a needle valve injector

In my GMC Astro rebuild they used "white tag industrial" 75 injectors. I assumed they were for stationary engines etc.
