can a non electronic suburban furnace be converted to an electronic version?

Chessie; In my experience the older units have a electronic lighting for the pilot and then it has a sensor to tell it has a pilot and then will fire up. The newer units are all solid state and of course my money. Mine has a button to push for the spark on the pilot and sometimes it can be a pain to light,so I usually open the line and bleed the air out first. Then everything is ok after that.
