Hi folks,

There's never a shortage of opinion on opinion boards, but I've got to tell you, and I'm sure you'll agree, it sometimes gets to the tipping point and we are there again, aren't we?

We've addressed this occasionally over the years: If you are going to post something not related to the hobby of converting an old bus into a motorhome, please let us all know beforehand by putting the letters " - OT" at the end of the subject line, so we all know beforehand whether we want to open the thread and/or resulting responses. That way, everyone knows that the subject matter is or is not of any interest to the viewer. Thank you in advance.

Hijacking a thread: This occurs when someone has forgotten to read the subject line along with contemplated responses from others and then responds inappropriately with something that is completely off topic. I'd like you all to continue to share your thoughts and opinions, but you should always contribute something that relates to the subject line, not what someone else says about "this'n'that" or something that randomly pops into your mind. And it is never appropriate to answer everyone else's opinion and add cartoons all the time. If you'd like to do that, I would cordially invite you to develop a web site of your own which specializes in that kind of fun and frivolity, because it IS fun and there IS a place for that kind of behaviour, but I question whether or not it belongs here. You know what I mean and you know who you are.

Let's please keep in mind why we're all here and why this forum is presented to you and let's all seek to participate accordingly.

But mostly, please, everyone... Enjoy :~)

Thank you.

Ian

The clarification was needed & appreciated
and even though I have never seen anyone "answer everyone else's opinion and add cartoons all the time...."
it is sage advice.
Perhaps we can all continue onward peacefully...

Wait a minute...

This BBS is for discussing the technical aspects of converting some tired, worn out, unprofitable motorcoach into a house on wheels?

I am flabbergasted!

Really?

BOSSNUT has spoken.

So, bus/coach it is!

happy coaching!

Oh, I dunno......

It sounds like a radical right-wing gay/lesbian socialistic abortion
agenda to kill endangered species with offshore drilling....... to me.

Thank you Ian.....
This is your forum (your home), although we are "Members" it is at your invitation and we should all be respectful of your guidelines in keeping it on track for what it was intended.

Some OT discussion is to be expected between friends as we share our thoughts and experiences with everyone. We just need to follow the "House Rules" that Ian has provided so we can all remain friends....

Exactly the reason this is the ONLY bus board I frequent. Just the right amount of control to keep it from running amok! Thanks Ian

Fellow Busnuts.
I for one, would sincerely Like to offer up my sincere apologies to the board members and Ian for the rude comments I posted in the other thread, It has always been my desire to share the enjoyment of bus ownership with like minded folks, and my earlier posts fall short of that mark. I'll take my "Come-Up'ings" now, Fire away!

Van, absolutely no apology necessary. Always a pleasure to hear from EVERYONE.

Can't remember how many times I've said inclusivity, not exclusivity counts the most here at BNO.
