Monitors or wheel sensors? If it is wheel sensors, you will have to send them in and get replacements. I don't think there are any batteries in the monitor (the part that is on the dash). Jack

Kenneth, the sensors can be sent to:

http://www.advantagepressurepro.com/

They will exchange them for $35.

Before you spend the money, I would verify that the sensor is bad. They should last at least 5 years. My first set just died after 6 years and three months and I leave them on all the time.

You can test them by moving them one at a time to the front wheel and look on your monitor. That sensor, if it works, will show the pressure at the original position (the monitor will think it is on the old tire position).

Sorry guys but 35 years in the heavy truckin business, never had a monitor never needed one. My crowns weight is 26k now I put 90 lbs in the tires, check them once a year and am good to go. A bleepin waist of money if you ask me but if you got it to spend then go for it.

I don't have the experience Doug has but all I have done is check them each time I take the bus out. In the last 3 years since I installed new tires the pressures have never changed

Douglas,

I admire your optimism. I had a continuous problem with leaking valve cores on my 4104 for about the past three years.

None lately though. I`still don't know what happened because in my in my 60 yrs+ of being a shade tree mechanic I never had that many fail in total?

Since the price of fuel prohibits most of us from going far on the road for now, Leaving them in the box may be best. He may need new batteries for them when and if he installs them?

Jim told me the sensors only transmit when installed and pressure is in the tire. Removing them when not travaling will extend bsttery life. Don't know what shelf life would be. We have never removed ours, except when we took the front sensors off the Grand Cherokee to use on our golf cart trailer when towing it.
I was told bt another PressurePro dealer that the small LED in the lower right coner of the monitor would light up if you had a low sensor battery as well as the position indicator of that sensor. Ours are 6 or 7 years old and still working great. Jack

Doug perhaps it's because now they like everything else is made in China. I see valve stems rot and crumble all the time and decades past it seemed you never heard of them failing.
