Does anyone know the size of the rad required for a 6V92T? I am changing from an 8V71 to a 6V92T and I know I will need a bigger rad. I need to know the number of rows of tubes, thickness of the core, overall size without the tanks and the number of fins per inch so I can get a rad made up. I am also trying to locate a V92 engine manual. Does anyone have an extra one they would sell? Thanks for your help. Bill |

Bill it would help if you told us which bus you have. Look on ebay for your manual. |

I am putting it into a GMC5303. Will be a tight fit but busnuts like a challenge. Right? I have heard of it being done but can't remember the name of the person that did it. I was asking the rad questions as I don't have room for the 6V92 rad, I currently have a rad from a 4905 in there but the 92 will need a bigger one because of the extra HP. I was thinking I could go thicker and keep the same height and width. I looked on ebay for the book but none are on there. One guy is looking for me but he doesn't think he has one. Bill |

On an RTS with a similar V-drive setup and radiator the biggest radiator we can go with is a 7-row. If you know the dimensions of your radiator you can call General Radiator and they can give you a good price on the biggest core that will fit your tanks. They'll ship you the core, bolts and gaskets and you can install it yourself: http://www.radiatorcores.com/ --Geoff '82 RTS CA |
