Since its introduction in 1994 as the 102DL3, sales of the D4500 have surpassed MCI's MC-9 as North America's all-time best-selling coach. The record-breaking unit, bound for Utah Transit Authority, will roll off the line next month. http://www.mcicoach.com/fyi/story/020304a.html |

Hi Guys, Now that there is a new record for the all time best selling coach in terms of number sold, which coach model holds the record for the most years produced? Thanks, Sam Sperbeck La Crescent, MN |

Prevost H Series has been in production since what, 88? That would make 16 years now. http://www.prevostcar.com/cgi-bin/used/detail.cgi?noref=88P1006&lang=eng# Prevost H5-60. |

Hi Derek, Sixteen years is a long production history, but I was thinking of the Prevost Le Mirage which began in '77 and is still in production. WOW! You are converting an H5-60? That should be one impressive motorhome. How much useable space is lost in the pivot area, or with inovative design are you able to use that space for something other than walk-through? What a challenge you have undertaken. Good luck. Thanks, Sam Sperbeck La Crescent, MN |

La Mirage certainly has had a long production run, and Prevost is a premium coach...but while I love the looks of the H-3 the windows on the La Mirage just look odd to me. I understand the sight-seeing advantages, but I've never liked that design, and I'd imagine it's a bit more complicated to reskin. Brian |

Actually, I'm not converting an H5-60, though that would be a challenge indeed... I just grabbed a picture of the oldest H series I could find. |
