Right at the Canton, MS fuel island (the Loves Truck stop), my clutch went south. I got it started in gear and drove around to the parking area and I won't go into what followed.

My question for you professors is...have you ever had a clutch replaced at a Detroit/Allison shop? If so, how much did it set you back? My bus is at Clarke Power in Jackson, MS. We drove our toad 500 miles back home last night.

Thanks.

I used Clarke before in Jackson nice folks and work on buses not a big shop 8 to 10 bays and the shop rate was good about the same as smaller shops and parts were not a problems they have a good network for overnight with their own trucks.? what is their rate now it been 3 year since I was there then it 65.00 with no min.
A new clutch for a 4106 is over 1000 bucks + a rebuilt will be cheaper
