I am posting my conversion web site for all to see that is old owners or those thinking of purchasing that DREAM bus to convert. The reasons I am making this public is for all to inspect their busses that may be 20-30 years old now and will be 30-40 years old 10 years down the line. Look at the damage to my bus as purchased in 2002 and see what I have had to do to be legally safe, and safe for my family and others on the road that I feel sooner or later I would of had a catastrophic failure that could of been fatal. Inspect your present bus in these areas I have repaired and not just the pretty corian counters and hidden lights etc. The basement should be the first and foremost important accomplishments to assure road safety in later years. Who knows how long it will be before federal government mandates inspections of these OLE girls or removal from the interstate roads we travel if we start to have accidents caused by unsafe, old vehicles that are our responsibility. If mine is like this, how many others are and people are ignoring because they want it to (Just Go Away and Not think of) and find out were they can get that pretty (Imiron Paint Job) done!! Thanks ahead of time, sorry for the length but I feel strongly about making these beauties as safe as possible down the road in the future as well as now. I look forward to your feed back and hope it will not all be negative. I am working my butt off on this project. I offer any information for free to anyone willing to take on this challenge of repair for all that I have learned to share with others. Just email me. Tell "Fast Fred" whom I beleive to be the guru of the "Bus Nuts", Ace, DonTX, and the regulars that I recognized their advice on the net now and wish I had known of them two years ago. Maybe some day I too will be at their level of experience and be respected for my advice to those newbies. Go to this web site for Eagle Repair Conversion: (http://www.msnusers.com/7305eagleconversion). There should be about 34 or 35 total pictures. Hope you enjoy and educate on these projects. You sure have spent a lot of time rebuilding this coach.Im sure there are alot of people that envy your skills and workmanship.I know I do.Are you going to redo the interior too?I know when I bought my coach I did a thorough rust check because I didnt want the time or the expense of what you are doing.I must say I did like the hinged radiator idea.By the time you are finished you definitly will have a better than new coach.Happy Bussin Terry Mac |

Gary, It looks like you have put a lot of time and effort into your repairs. Good job. It is a part of the bus that most people will never see, but the ones that work on them will be able to appreciate what you have done. Keep up the good work and get out and enjoy the bus. |

Gary, seeing those pictures reminds me of how much I loved Eagles, but why I am so happy I own an MCI... 90 percent stainless and aluminum below the beltline is really comforting! Great work on the electrical too, you do really professional looking work! Brian |

GARY: Those pictures wore me out. I have to give you a lot of credit for all the work that you have taken on. Great job. I Have heard for many years about the rusty Eagles. I was at the Eagle factory in 96 and I discussed this problem with them and that in late 88 they started to use COR-TEN steel for their framing. (probably to late to save their reputation, and now out of business) I left the factory determined to find an Eagle that was 89 or newer and from the SW, because I still loved the Eagles. I later found and bought an 89 from the Texas area. Have stripped it down to the frame and have found almost no rust or salt damage. Boy was I happy. TAKE NOTE to all of you who are in love with and looking to buy an EAGLE. ARTHUR |

Hello Gary. Thank you for the great series of pictures! You're a better man than I....Anytime I mess with the bus, I'm finished before I remember to take any! You've got another supporter in the "look underneath closely" category in me! happy coaching! buswarrior |
