As you may know, Larry introduced me to this site under Parts & Manuals because I am liquidating inventory from a Motor Coach Repair & Maintenance facility I once owned.
I have 2 Vapor Solinoids manufactured by Vapor Corporation. They tell me it's discontinued & no further information is available.
The sol. is marked 1985 part #RH 1663-1, has an input and output, something electrical screws to the top side. It's 25PSI 24VDC. For the life of me I can't figure out what this was used for.
Then I have 2 Directional Valves, (made by Herion) with a relay plug-in on the top, I think this might be a actuator of some kind for a door.
Then I found 4 brackets for an MC9, I think. They are metal part #3G 61 1. I think it might be a battery hold down part.
If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. And a price would be nice.
Thanks.

Auntmelody wants US to tell her what her parts are...

and how much they are worth...

so she can get more money for them from US on that Eplace?

Pretty funny.

Actually Sir, I was hoping that "US" would need some of these parts and buy them directly. Some already have. And...I sold them for what "US" was willing to pay. Additionally, I was hoping for help to figure out what they are.
Yes, I do sell items on that "Eplace" so I can finally liquidate the inventory.
Thanks for your help.

Most of US assume you would honor the wishes of the owner of this site and only advertise them in the area for sales.

BrianMCI96A3 ............In my humble opinion that was a very rude statement you made, in posts you offered your opinion about values.

She offered to sale her parts here and still does, what is wrong asking others what they are and the values? She needs help and was asking for it. If you know nothing then don't say nothing.

That was not and opinion, to offer useful info, it was just a rude personal opinion.

I thought that is what we were doing here - trying to help each other.

Randy, I don't know. I verified the PSI on the metal plate and it is 25..someone else said it should be 125. I'm at a lose. The solinoid weighs about 10 lbs.

Alrighty then...

If you walk up to... lets say a yard sale, and the person running it asks what it is they have and how much the company that makes it, sells it for now...

Well y'know if you have that information and feel like doing the job of the person selling it... the job of researching what they are selling so they can get the most for their items, then you deserve to pay top dollar for it.

Not to mention that a 3G-61-1 is an MCI number
and ought to be as easy as lifting a parts book (as I did) to find out what it is, or lifting a phone to find out what it is and how much it costs.

So Larry... in my humble opinion you obviously can't handle the fact that Auntmelody is doing just what I said and looking to profit off any information given...

Sorry about that.

I still think it's pretty funny.

Brian ............... I can handle anything, even that childish narrow minded statement.

We each maybe have resources others don't, they ask and we look it up or tell them where to get it?
Asking for help does to me make no difference, from one subject matter or another.

If you can help someone do it. What she is doing is trying to "close a door to another part of her life".

If you are so afraid someone might, make a dollar from something you say, then you must live a very miserable life trying to guard every word you might say.

I would imagine that the parts she would sale, will not be at any profit to her, from what they might have originally have cost.

Yes, if I went up to someone at a yard sale, asking the same question, I would give my best guess, or find the answer if I could. Might be your widow (trying to close a door) selling your toys after you croaked in a bus wreck, so she could feed your kids.

I never meant to create a problem and I will certainly not get into a verbal scrap over this. I'm only asking for help to figure out what some of these parts are and if someone can use them and as Larry stated, there is no profit for me in this. I would never have sold $150.00 worth of interior bulbs if I was. I am just trying so very hard to close a chapter in my life that was a great love of mine, running 24 motor coaches for charter and a repair shop that NO LONGER EXISTS. Brian, can you buy a set of Maintenance & Parts Manuals for a 96A2-A3-102A2/A3-102C3 for $35.00 a piece? Or a set of Prevost Manuals for $60.00? All including detailed schematics? How much is a Detroit Diesel DDECII Troubleshooting Guide?
I am not going to lower myself to argue anymore.
Thanks to those of you who have e-mailed for an inventory list and offered support.

Look, I respect your right to earn a buck from the stock you have, I personally have nothing against you doing so, and I was not aware that you were selling your things outright to members of this group.

Having never seen you post before, I honestly may have been more accomodating if I hadn't originally seen it as someone simply profiting from our knowledge, without having to do the work.

As for buying manuals at that price, having just bought a maintenance manual for a 96A3, 102A3... off the Eplace for $21, well... it can be done.

But since they are few and far between $30 is a fair price.

Larry, please...

If asked that question by someone selling their stuff at a yard sale, you'd go find the answer??

Crying widows and hungry children???

Get a hold of yourself, man!

Brian

PS: BTW Auntmelody, you are right it's a battery hold down part for a MC-9 as well as the 96A3, and 102A3

Ok, Truce.... As you now know I owned a motor coach company and repair facility. I can troubleshoot minor wiring problems, do brake jobs, change out parts, change belts, etc, but figuring out what I have stumps me. My ex in his devious mind took part numbers off some of the inventory which is making it very difficult. We worked on MCI, Prevost, Eagles, Setras, Vanhools, Lags, GMC, Mini Buses, Neoplans. Now do you understand?
So now if you can help me figure this mess out with parts, I would appreciate it. I may even be able to HELP you out, I can do a brake job with the best of them. LOL.

I fail to see what it matters if it is for orphans or for widows. What matters is that this forum as described by the owner is NOT FOR SALE ITEMS. I simply suggest that we honor his wishes and move the coversation to the place for it. Rather simple if you take it for face value.

Melody.............. RJ has years of experience and is willing to help it seems, maybe if he is to distant, send him a picture.

Good morning all! You guys are so funny! I live in Puuallup, WA. is that near you RJ? I must have a dozen boxes of inventory I haven't even gone through yet and some of it looks foreign to me.
Most men's wives have flowers in vases, fru fru stuff laying around, at our home there are bus parts laying on the floor in the computer room, garage, and the room off the kitchen. lol
I'm getting married March 27th. to the greatest guy so that puts me off the market.
I am going to post some items on the flea market place shortly. No prices because YOU people will tell me a price and then shipping & handling will be added. Deal?
About the brake jobs? I weigh 135 lbs. so I cheated with a tire lift to remount. Hee Hee.

However, I do accept the compliment, accidental though it was.

You think by attacking me personally, which you have through this entire thread, you show your moral superiority?

...Or your supposed maturity?

At this point I'm thinking there may be no hope for you... please feel free to show otherwise.

As for taking my own advice, I do, all the time, you ought to as well!

Hi Folks,
Speaking of polygamy, there was a segment on a TV program the other night about a town in Arizona that has a man with many wives. I have heard of a lot of cases where men have many wives, but not of any cases where a woman has many husbands. I guess polygamy is not an equal opportunity crime.
Thanks, Sam Sperbeck

If you've got any Neoplan parts lurking around, I'd love to stop by and have a look at them...

You know, Larry introduced me to this site and I just have to laugh, you people are soooo very funny!! Laughing releases healing properties into the system. Everyone needs that.
Sean? Where in Sumner is your Neoplan? I'm about 8 miles away. What model? I have a set of Workshop & Spare Parts Manuals, (as they call them) for a City/Skyliner. I have a manila envelope of schematics for these coaches. I owned (4) ugly, worth nothing, stupid, costly, good for nothing, double deckers. YUCK!!!
The glass alone was so expensive at the time that I put plexiglass in for awhile. They were so top heavy that if the driver wasn't careful making turns in San Francisco it would freak out the passengers. LOL. We had a convention of German Bakers one time and the driver was doing a city tour, he went around a corner on the way to Twin Peaks, (in San Francisco) nearly tipped the coach over, scared those bakers so badly that they refused to ride the thing, I had to replace it with (2) Setras. LOL. THEN.... one driver thought he could fit under the Golden Gate Bridge, (now mind you it's posted 11'something and the D.D. is 14' give or take") He sheared back 7' blew out the windows, destroyed the top half, was a total lose. I sold it for $5,000. I made him drive it back to the shop, punched him in the chest and immediately fired the man!! Well, I said a little more but...LOL. So much for Neoplans huh?

Melody,

My coach is at Infinity Coach. It's a Spaceliner, which is similar to the Skyliner, but has luggage bays downstairs instead of passenger seating. There's a good deal about it on our web site at http://ourodyssey.us/bus-index.html

Sorry to hear you think my coach is ugly...

I'd like to take a look at whatever manuals you have. Also, since 95% of the Skyliner parts, and probably 80% of the Cityliner parts will fit my coach (but only if these were German-built units -- they changed a lot of stuff over when they started building them in Lamar), I'd like to look at whatever else you have.

Oh Sean not YOUR coach, Double Deckers! 76 passengers, no luggage space, doors that sucked open while driving on the freeway. I like the Spaceliner. My coaches were German built, one had a Duesch engine, (did I spell that right?) What's convenient to you? I'll be gone from March 16th to March 31st as I'm getting married. Sooo cool!! After that is fine with me.Do you know whatever happened to all the Neoplans that were owned by Scenic Hiway Tours out of San Francisco?

Melody,

Our door also popped open on the freeway once...

Our Spaceliner is also German, built in Pilsting. Lamar put a Detroit/Allison combo in it, but it shipped with a Mercedes, most likely, coupled to a ZF 6-speed manual (I'm guessing). It might have had what yours did, though -- a Deutz (correct spelling).

You can see and read about our bus on our web site at http://ourodyssey.us/bus-index.html if you'd like.

I don't know where SHT's Cityliners ended up, but Cityliners have been popping up frequently at auctions lately. Most are being retired.

We'll next be in Sumner most likely the week of April 5-9, if that's good for you.

Brian, Sometimes I do send them media mail, but that's like a slow boat to China from here. It really depends on shipping time, cost, and when being shipped to a P.O. Box, etc. Most of the time I ship via Fed Ex as they have to be packed in a box. They weigh about 23 lbs.
