Hi Vern,

uscoach@att.net

But then, if you had done a "Keyword Search", you would have found his information on about 225 other pages :-)

Regards,

Ian

Ian, I AM computor illiterate and am very glad I can do as much as I can (which as you can see is very limited). Thanx for the info ! PS How and where do you do a "keyword search"? That IS a real question. Vern (in RI)

Hi Vern,

I put a "smiley" after my message to convey to viewers that I was happy to have Luke hanging around my little web site. That said, there are current threads going on right now on this bbs that speak to the issue of "Keyword Search" and other features here.

Please let me explain:

When you are looking at the main screen of this bbs, your browser should be rendering a two-frame screen. You should be reading this, the main topic page and all other "result" pages here in the right-hand screen.

The left-hand screen contains several links to various areas and functions of the bulletin board, including a direct link to the "Keyword Search" and The BNO Community News board.

That is also where I posted the "Busin' 2004" rally, hosted by the Conrads in Florida. Look there, soon, for an ad which I have put together for "Busin' USA" in Oregon, which is coming up in the summer.

Now, if you don't see two frames; a left- and right-hand frame, go to our home page at http://www.busnut.com/home.html, clear your browser's "cookies" file and "cache" file, then click on the "BNO BBS" link in the BNO Interactive menu. If you are still only seeing one frame, you need to get one of your children or grandchildren over to help you.

I know that there are some viewers still out there that think that BNO is only a bulletin board system, but, in fact, we have over 100 pages of interesting articles, buses for sale, pictures of buses, other viewers' web sites and a bunch more areas of interest.

As well, the Internet is growing more and more complex, with the advent of Java, Flash, etc., that continually take advantage of the increasing speed of computers, combined with the superior speed of Internet-on-Cable, DSL, T1 and wireless session viewing technology.

But, I try to keep an eye on the BNO population/age/equipment demographic and, as a result, have intentionally made BNO stay quite moderate in its viewer's computer ownership needs. In other words, just about any computer can receive most of BNO, including the live chat room, DieselChat.

In fact, BNO was born because the only other chat room at the time, Zane Good's "RV Coach Online" (http://www.rv-coach.com) was using a chat room that couldn't be accessed by AOL users. I came up with a solution to that, offered it up along with my time to Mike Kadletz of Bus Conversions Magazine (http://www.busconversions.com) for his web site and when he didn't respond in a month, I created BNO.

(Can anyone remember that far back?)

Anyhoo, to make a short story long, I want to convey to all viewers, including yourself, Vern, that they don't have to have strong computer skills in order to view BNO and it's many pages. If you need some help, you have only to ask... because this web site didn't get popular because it was neglected; BNO became a stopping spot for many viewers because it's the friendliest darned web site on the planet... it even converted Ace into a nice guy!!

If you still have difficulty getting our web site to render properly, Vern, please let me know - I'm happy to help.

Best regards,

Ian

I have to add on to this thread. I was in NJ last week and decided to go visit Luke at US Coach. I can not stress to anyone interested in a shell for conversion or needing repair the importance of contacting Luke. He is a genuine enthusiast who freely gives of his time and knowledge....not to mention he has to have over 100 coaches on his lot. A big thanks to Luke for taking the time to show us around and I look forward to doing business with him.

Tim
