This link takes you to a product I saw at HomeDepot. You can use Ceramic, Marble or Slate tiles that you choose at the store and the wire goes under the tile in the cement. No extra depth to the floor where you put it. If I only had the strength - Ugh.

I think this is just for "Warming" the tile, I don't think it would serve to replace any heating devices in your conversion. Probably good when you step out of the shower to a nice warm floor, LOL.
