does anyone know where you can get this stuff? a buddy of ours has a high end S&S that has a heat exchanger in it and requires this as a safety in case of a cross leak tks. mel 4104

Propylene Glycol is nothing but the technical name for potable type antifreeze. Its easily available in all of the camping stores, as the winterizing fluid for the water system.

Lordco in BC. Also have seen it at Canadian Tire. Made by Prestone - dogs and cats on the label indicating it's safer than the regular AF.

It is approved as a food additive, soap making, swimming pool anti freeze, as well as auto antifreeze.

Propylene glycol is what is used at the airports for de-icing the planes. They always buy it in 55 gallon barrels, I don't know who else uses it.
