I just returned from a 2,855 mile road trip starting in Washington, down through Oregon, California, Nevada, and back to Washington.
Being a Motor Coach owner for charter, I never really paided attention to conversions except when they were slow moving.
I now have a awesome appreciation for Bus Conversions! I saw GMCs, MC-8&9s, Prevosts, Eagles, etc. All of which amazed me at the time & effort put into re-building them.
Three quarters of the owners I spoke with at rest stops or truck stops converted the buses themselves. Some of them told me they'd never touched or worked on anything mechanical ever, but with help from others they learned and completed them by trial & error.
Anyway, I just thought you should know this. When traveling out there you do not go un-noticed.

Melody: I did a run in my conversion from Atlanta to California this late winter, and without fail other converters at truck stops and campgrounds would take the time to say hello and exchange information. A friendly group, and mutually supportive. Also, many wannabees would do the same, especially drivers of manufactured motorhomes. One of them asked me why buses are better, and I said, let's start with the door. Try closing it, feel the heft, a lot of steel, heavy hinges, etc. You just don't get that in stick and staples motorhomes. Case closed!

I allways tell stick and staple motor home owners that a motor home is made to sell at a profit. A bus is made to make a profit. That is usually enough said.

Earl: Hope you are referring to an original bus and not a bus conversion, (excluding the pro bus conversions): Considering labor, I've never heard of one going for a profit.

Depends on who the coach gets sold to,
individuals may mot pay over market ,
but insurance companies seem to.
