Was it a passenger bus? If so the ceiling is 80". Motorhome shells are 83" or 86". To do the raise properly you must add to the area below the window line and then you can use Prevost siding with one or two extra ribs to match the raised amount. If you aren't planning on ducting a/c by dropping the ceiling, you should have enough headroom with the 80" standard height. Jim |

Yes, it was (and still is at the moment) a seated bus. |

Don, Did you duct roof a/c's or basement? I am trying to find ductwork for the new Carrier roof a/c's and anyone who has done this. Peter. |

I have three coleman low profile roof airs.I used a product called ultra duct which worked very well for me. I believe I used 2"x10" and comes pre folded or you can buy it in 4' sheets. I can't find my paperwork on it but Im sure you can do a search on line and find it. |

I'm not raising the roof on my 1995 H3-41. I could probably use the room, but is a tradeoff between that and making the bus too high. It's already in danger of those pesky tree limbs. I plan on using roof airs. Roof raising was probably beyond my metal working skills anyway. |

Say, What did it cost to raise a roof on one of those buses? The RTS has 6'6 ceiling height and is plenty for my short body height. Standard roof airs, no dicting in the center roof. Just wondering what it costs to raise.] "Imagine" cd |

Ron, I have an 05 Eagle that I raised the roof 6.25 inches. I am running three Low profile Duro Therm AC's and I ducked all three to specific areas. Front to drivers side and co-pilot seats ONLY (Lots of windows up front). Center is for kitchen and bathroom area and rear for bedroom area. I wrote an article on how I raised the roof on my coach by my self -- It's on Tom Halls site at http://users.cwnet.com/~thall/gene_lewis.htm If I can assist U in any way let me know. Have pics available if interested. Enjoying the journey in NC Gene Lewis - 05 Eagle |
