Hi Folks, Just want to let all you folks that may need some work done on your rigs that Southern Oregon Diesel has, once again, proven to me that they're the place to go. (At least in the West--if I were in the East, I MIGHT give Luke a chance before I drove to Roseburg, OR.) But, from Seattle it continues to be a no-brainer--Go see Dave! For my money, from anywere in the western US of A--Go see Dave! My Eagle was leaning to one side and I needed some minor, rust-inspired welding that needed doing. I'd talked to Dave about the possibility of air bags since I have no adjustment left in my rear suspension. Dave's crew got me leveled out--without the expense of air-bags, did a masterful job of welding those places where I had rust issues, treated me right while I was there, and did it all for a more than fair price! Can't ask for more than that! Even provided me an electrical hookup so I could charge my batteries. It's quite 6-7 hour drive from Seattle to Roseburg, but one I'll continue to make, gladly, when my ol' Eagle needs major attention. Also, while I was there I got to talk to Dave about the preparations for the Busn' USA convention. It's gonna be good! I was in his office talkin' buses, when he got a call that almost certainly will lead to some musical entertainment for us all! (I'll leave it to him or one of the other sponsors to say more--but stay tuned. This is shaping up quite nicely.) Any of us Busnuts in the West, or Northwest in my case, that were not able to get to Florida last winter may not have to be so envious and jealous of what we missed out on after this July shindig! My family and I are planning on being there. I've heard from some of you folks that you'll be there, and I hope that even more of you come. It's gonna be good!! Hi Henry, yes you are so right on So Or Diesel, super nice folks and they know their stuff. I used to be a diesel mech, not on buses but backhoes and such. On the west coast they are the go-to guys for sure. If I was on the east coast Luke would be. Hi Bob, Yes, I saw your bus. I even knew it was your's! I asked Dave about it and he said he expected to move it inside and get going next week. Boy, was his shop jumpin' while I was there! In addition to my Eagle, there was another getting bigger brakes installed, yet another just finishing up the installation of a Cummins M-11. Then there were the big trucks getting scheduled service, two big trucks getting inframe engine overhauls, a trailer having it's brakes serviced and two RV's having various things done. Those guys must be doing something right! (Probably something like providing competent, knowledgable service at reasonable prices!!) Anyway, I asked about your bus and it's just about ready to be rolled in. See you in July. Henry | ||
