Need some info. I am looking at buying a spare bus for parts and some conversion items. What I need to know is if the airbags (suspension) from a 4106 will fit a 4905. The 4106 is a 1963 and the 4905 is a 1973. Thanks for the help.

Hi Guy:
To answer your question, the air bellows from the 4106 may fit under your 4905, but they are not sized right for your coach!!!.. Different sizes are what GM designed into each coach.
Hope I didn't pop your bubble????
Further, after 41 years working in the bus industry, I would never waste my time going through the effort to replace air bellows with "USED", as they are too important for a successful journey or journeys!!!

Thanks Luke!Actually I thought it might be too good to be true. I found this bus in partial state of completion and I don't know the history, but somebody did all the mechanical repair, NEW AIRBAGS all around,new brake pots, new tires, all the conversion (not high end but clean) and stopped at the body work. It's ugly as sin but appears sound. Just thought I might be lucky once.

update on 4106 parts bus;
Well, I went and stood in the rain for six hours and waited patiently for my treasure, and when it finally came up!!!!!!!!SURPRISE SURPRISE!!!! they didn't start it and there was a------$30,000 reserve bid. Too much for parts I thought.
