Does anyone know an RV dealer or other secure lot near Midway airport in Chicago where I can pay to park my bus for three or four days? I need to fly in and out of Midway, so I'm looking for something within 20 miles of that airport. Thanks.

Bryan,

I can't help with a place but can offer afew sugestions. I used Midway and Ohare quite a bit and if time is not a real big factor you might consider somethin close to Ohare as well and take the shuttle bus to Midway. The Midway area is not a good place, and the south side of Ohare is not a safe place.

Another option is using a shuttle coach from Hammond IN (Coach USA)that runs to Midway every hour. All these give a wider range in searching which can be done in about an hour and a half.

Good luck searching.

You may want to try and get hold of Wulf Ward, he has an RTS and hangs out on the RTs board quite a bit.
I think he is just north of Midway and has a yard with numerous buses if I remember right,

back when I drove a big truck, there was a big truckstop in joliet..it had 20 foot high chain link fence ,in the parking area for trucks, that would be a good place to check, maybe that guy will let you pay to park there...Chicago ain't a safe town....only drivers allowed in that area...

You may want to try City International Trucks. They are at 4655 S. Central Ave. @ I-55, which is practically right next to the airport. If they can't store it, maybe they know of someone who can. 708-496-7500 is their number.

Thanks, guys. I'm going to try Wulf Ward Tues. I also found Midway Park, Ride & Fly which is secure and has room. But they will charge me the cost of 3 cars, so pricey.

I'm in Plainfield, Il which is about 45 min. from midway. Easy drive on I-55. We have a locked yard where our bus sits with no problem. The price is right (four free tours of your coach). May be able to drive you to and fro if the timing works out right. When will you going and returning?
I'm sure there are closer places, just thought I'd throw that out there

Much obliged, Jay. I will be driving up from Florida over the weekend and will arrive very late Sunday night. Then I have a 7:30 am flight from Midway, so I wouldn't want to put you through that inconvenience on both ends. I think I'll be fine at the park&ride place, which is just 5 minutes from the airport. Can snooze there for a couple of hours before my flight. But I really appreciate your kind offer. Thanks again.
