Howdie kids.. I posted about the aluminum wheels my friend got me..we went to put them on and low and behold the studs were too short. I went and got the normal replacement studs..nada..still too short, This has everything to do with the heavy duty hub thah the scenicruiser has in the front..the hub eats a good amount and we are still 3/4 inches short.. did anyone have this problem and if so..where did you get the right studs and how long? pete |

if you take a stud (that has the correct profile, dimensions) that is too short to a truck parts supply house that sells batco or euclid brake parts, they can match it with the correct length... |

TD, i went to luke first..we are all looking for them..i didnt know if anyone had someone i could get them from..the ones luke had were alittle different and too short because of the thicker front hubs. apparently the scenicruisers had a thicker hub cause of the front weight...thats what we are guessing |

Hi Pete, I have a 55 scenicruiser with alloy wheels on the front. It came that way so I do not know where the studs were from, but they are about an inch longer. The only problem I have is the hub center is also thicker so it sticks further through the wheel and I have had to modify center caps to make them fit. Just found a set of alloys for the back but the regular extended inner studs seem to work. Dave |
