I am building with a household toilet 1.6 gal. What size of black waste tank would you recommend? I found a 105 gal waste tank from a vendor on a large online auction site for $199. plus $25 shipping. Also will an RV toilet attach to a household toilet flange for future swap out? |

My Thedford RV toilet fit a standard houshold flange. The bolt pattern was the same. David |

you won't ever want a r.v. toilet..the tank...well,you didn't say how many people & if you plan on being boonedocking..105 gallons is a bunch,I'd say a family of 4 for 4 days...without dumping.. |

A good porcelain 'SeaLand" RV type toilet is worth it's weight in number II. You flush with maybe less than a quart, saving both the fresh water supply and the amount of dumping you have to do. And...from what I've heard, their new "VacuFlush" toilets are even better than their standard version. |

Nelson, I haven't bought my waste and water tanks yet but have 3 possible suppliers for them. RMIF Division of Rotonics 230 Bartow Air Base Bartow FL. 33830 863 534-1766 110 gal for $120.00 ea. Tractor Supply Corp www.mytscstore.com 100 gal for $128.95 Northern Tool and Equipment www.Northerntool.com 100 gal. 129.95 (in my last sale paper, normally $149.99) You would have to install fittings yourself but there is an advantage to that, you can put them where you want. Most people on here talk about having them "spin welded" on, but you can get a plastic welder and do it yourself. Also compression fittings come with gaskets, in various sizes and can be done yourself. Tractor Supply has them in 3/4, 1-1/2, and 2 in. HTH Ed |

And when you have looked up which tank size you want on the Ardemco website, use the same part number and check prices at Ronco, you may find them a bunch cheaper. Using a company to order through, might help too. Even the 112g tank was UPSed to me. Peter. |
