What have you guys done to eliminate the engine heat and sound proof the top inside of the rear on your 4104,s? Boy it really gets hot above the manifold and in that aea. I had it coverd with 10" of lead and other materials, but since we are remodeling we dont have that much space for all that material,
Thanks
John

whatever happened to those "space blankets"...were they good or were they proven no good,if they do work that would be a good material to line the engine compartment with...

I know Jim Sheppard has some stuff that will help. He monitors this forum frequently. His help will probably come shortly. If not, go to the Keyword search on this Busnut.com website and type in "RV Safety Systems"

His site will come up from the archives of this board.

Try the hotrodder's web sites for a Co. called Dyna mat. heat and noise barrier. Self adhesive and cuts with shears.

pre-drill & screw small 2x4 blocks to underside of floor, then screw sheet metal to the blocks with 3/4 x#6 sheet metal screws ...use a phillips bit in your drill..

When you get TO the campsite ,
open the engine access ,
everything cools off much faster.

Works for me,

FAST FRED
