Having to replace my mufflers and never seeing a 4104 stock or stripped (which I would like to see) Can anybody give me in measurements where the access panel is,from the inside of the bus.the whole rear of the bus is upholstered and trimmed with mirror and wood .I would like to have a good Idea where Iam headed when I tear in to this thing. Thanks Bill 4104 4032

Bill go to the rear inside floor in your bus to the first step up and the access plate is on the top of the first raised part. The manifolds and both mufflers can be changed with ease. Hope this helps. BTDT.

You can also do it from underneath...not as easy but not that hard..just rough on arms..lots of reaching up into small tight spots....just make sure coach is blocked up solid...gg

Bill -

To add to what Sam said, that access plate is just about centered on that step.

"where (is) the access panel ......... the inside of the bus .......
whole rear of the bus ...... is upholstered and trimmed with
mirror and wood "

That reminded me of a partial bus conversion I went to look
at. The guy covered the entire dash/front of bus in Oak and
simulated leather. Fantastic!! Looked great!! But how would
you fix anything, like the wiper motors or defroster without
having to destroy it all to get to it? (He didn't know either)

I added it to "things to remember while converting".
