Most every time I've changed the oil in the oil bath filters in my 4016 there is also water (as well as the dirt) in the oil. Is this normal that water is getting sucked in the air intakes (I assume during driving in rain -- not so much when I'm washing the oil spots off the bus rear - lol) on each side intake or might I have some other problem to look for? There seems to be more often water in the outside of the 4 filters and more on one side of the bus (left). |

We have seen the same thing, but only if we drove in rainy weather. And we have had it in 1, 2 or 3 filters, but never 4. I think it's normal, but one of these days, I will pull the plenum down and give it a good cleaning, along with the air filter shells. For that it's worth. Tom Caffrey PD4106-25 Suncatcher |

it could be a leak from above though the back window and down into the plenum? Maybe? John |

Hey Jerry - Any chance that an awning or roof top device (like an air conditioner) is diverting water into the path of the air intake? |
