While the rally is going and everyone is enjoying the tire kicking and general good florida sunshine, a blizzard is sneaking in on us up here with 16 inches called for by monday night, global warming is a big disappointment for me but I take satisfaction in knowing that florida oranges cannot be bought in florida stores,, the only place in florida that you can get florida oranges at are the roadside stands. We have florida oranges available and freshly shipped to our stores from california,, isn't america great?

BW and others pointing north, be careful on the roads, they may not be as nice as the trip south with the storm winding up and heading east.

I'm not gonna waste any more time replying to your idiotic post but please get your facts straight before you feel the need to fill your boredom!
You can buy Florida oranges in many stores here in Florida as well as California oranges and yes at road side stands too! California usually ships to states when Florida's season is off and vice versa!
And yes, many lmao comments this week in case your boredom was filled with wonderment!

So far the storm has only dumped about 6 inches of snow in this area, the call is for 16 by monday night so anyone heading north, be careful on the roads.

Ace, thank you for correcting me about the oranges, my statement was based on information given me by another resident of florida while we were in florida one of the times for the winter months when we had a hard time locating florida oranges for BK's mom, but my primary concern was to convey road conditions to the ones that are leaving the rally and heading north, possibly into the storm which is supposed to last thru monday into tuesday morning, many at the rally actually use their buses to travel great distances and actual road conditions may be important to them, Ian and BW will be going directly into the storm.

You forgot to add that I am quite willing to idle all night, though am sufficiently equipped with winter sleeping gear so as to not waste that fuel.

Step away from the ignition switch...

Yes,, BW, you are canadian, but do you know why? lol,(I can't help myself lol), Canada is where we store the extra people from the UP, thats if ohio has no extra room lol. Storm fizzled out here anyway and headed south east, we finished up with only 18 inches of snow, not the major event they claimed it would be.

Well, sunshine all the way to the door right now in Toronto ON from Clearwater FL on the morning of Jan 3.

Temp was a balmy -3C/26F inside the Suburban in Chattanooga on the morning of Jan 4th.

All visits completed, all print media, GM emblems, new camping chairs, bus steering gear parts, computer and WiFi equipment picked up and transported across the international boundary without incident.

1390 miles heading for Arcadia, GPS reports a moving average of 63.3 mph.
1657 miles heading home via circuitous routing, GPS reports a moving average of 58.0 mph.

Fuel calculations to follow, that difference of 5.3 mph cost a lot more in fuel than the number suggests...

I have a couple hundred e-mails to catch up on, and two bus boards...

happy coaching!

The trip south will probably show better fuel mileage since according to the map it's all downhill. I just watched the weather forecast for our area and it's showing temps in the 30'sF all next week, very unusual for our neck of the woods, but hey, bring on global warming, I'm all for it.
