try 520-623-3663 Truck & Trailer Parts in Tucson for the pump. They are 3 blk's from the GRANT ROAD exit on I-10 |

Tracy: if it is just blowing oil out the side--pressure relief valve--it's just a 10 cent o ring. Just happen to me. on the 89 and I thought the worst. Simple drive the pin out and replace o ring on spindle and replace spindle. It is spring loaded but can easily be held in with your finger. remember when your taking it out. good luck Bob |

Thanks for ideas. Brewers Truck Repair is across the street from the TA we are in. They tell me they will install it But I need to get the pump. I checked with NAPA today and they need numbers off the pump. Prevost numbers no good for them. Called Prevost and they wanted $200 fee to do it today as an emergency fee since they were closed. Called Prevost help number and he said Vickers 661006 is what I need. Pump has been growling lately and harder steering. Issue is fluid coming out fill hole back pressure and leaking around the pump itself. |

growling is usually air or low fluid--oil out pump is probably out where I told you from o ring. Do as you want. Worth checking out. When you bleed it to to lock hold briefly then to other lock hold briefly then ck fluid. Where the plunger goes in(pressure relief) where o ring if it has been hammering it has worn grove. this lets pressure go down to system. Turn valve 90 degrees and pressure should be restored. or replace pump. |

You need to replace the drive coupling spacer also if it is gone don't worry about the trash in the oil pan it won't hurt anything good luck |

Back on the road again. Mobile service truck came and installed new pump. No more growling and it took the guy 3 hours to do from the back battery compartment. |

$120 per hour. 3 hour install. 2. 1/2 hours travel time. Pump $466. Over night parts $135. Misc.$$? Total about $1400 Sometimes you have to pay top $$ if stuck. |
