Well gang the time has come to make a decision. To run or to wait a couple more days until the storm shows better where it is going.
I am presently In Biloxi MS. The storm is not looking favorable for this area. The bus is fueled and awaiting command from master(wife) to move. Looks like the Mtns of East Tennessee are going to be home for the next week or so. Any suggestions are welcomed for the move....

Avoid the rush and heavy traffic, leave now!!. We survived Charlie and Frances and can tell you leave now, don't wait for the crowded roads and long lines at the gas stations. Jack

Ditto, man. We left Frances two days early and were met with open
roads and plenty of fuel, food and accommodations.

The worry of breaking down en route during the escape, is lessened
by leaving early, also.

Shut the PC off and Go!!

flee now and enjoy the view, if you wait, bumper to bumper crawling down the interstate, waisting fuel using colorful flowery words why you waited.

Go man Go

Airless,

Take off!

Two things I have reaffirmed from the two previous storms.

Regardless of how prepared you are, when these monsters hit, you are at there mercy until they end.

The only thing that matters is the people you love, the rest is just stuff.

Plus , anytime you can take the bus for a ride is a good day.

Ever see the movie "Gone With The Wind"? The book is good also. Pretty much tells it all. Time to sk-dattle! :) :) :)

Yeah...I'm ready for Ivan. Frances took me by surprise. It rained pretty hard here (almost 2" in 36 hrs.) and the wind got up to about 30 MPH. Man, was it rough. But then I guess that is what I get for living in Southern Ohio.

The only reason that I can think of for you to stay, would be, if you are courious to see if the bus will float !!!

I am in southern central Louisiana, I am heading north soon !!

We left twice. Once for Francis & then for Ivan. Just got back to West Palm Beach last night. Still no power at the house (2 weeks) but the bus is comfortable. Take your loved ones, your bus, your pictures & papers & go! And go sooner rather than later. Done it both ways & late sucks! Lots of stress!

Ask the flat armadillo, failure to get out of the way is a recessive gene!

Landed... Got in Late last night..
Now the bad news. I apparently am having a brake issue. If I take and disengage the emergency brake something does not totally disengage on the front calipers. The idiot light stays on. I can move the bus forward and while pressing gas step on brake peddle hard and disengage brake. This works until the next redlight and have to do the same thing without doing this the brake is engaged yet when I do hit it hard it does release. You guys are the brightest so I know someone has the answer since they dealt with it before. The threadle valve is leaking I noticed when I landed.

ON a side Note I really got to get bus air or large enough invertor to run ac off of bus alternator. Man it was hot moving this big tent around.
