I am changing out my 871 & 4 speed to a 871T and a 10 speed. I need to locate the shift tower and cables required for the trans. Anyone have any Ideas on how to locate them? |

If memory serves, me thinks a lot of the newer type of trucks like some cabovers used a cable shifter system hooked from the cab shifter down and back to the top of the Roadranger. My Crown uses just the single shift torgue rod all the way back to the RTO-910. It has lots of lube points, which I HAVE NOT gotten to yets. A cable shifter makes lots of sense. Try the local, heavy truck wrecking yards for a complete cable shifter assembly for a Roadranger, complete with shifter and mount. Then splice or get new longer cables. |

I have a 12 speed "air shift"...if you haven't bought your trans yet...standard "H" patern...4 times .then air shift & go thru again...overdrive .80 to one in top gear |
