Congratulations Paula. I wish I could get my wife to try it. Larry is right about the seat. You need a back rest to be comfortable and safe.

Integral steering is the only way to go. We have it also on the MC1 and it very easy to handle, once you got the shifting mastered. I am still working on that last part to try and perfect it.

Russ

I will have to send you an airline ticket so you can give me some private tutoring. But I do have your shifting tome printed of but being of forgetfull mind, I will have to read it again.
It is also a syncro gearbox, but that Detroit always wants to go back to idle too quickly.

Joe.

Back in my working days at Gray coach I remember the MCI coachs being a fast shift and the GMs very slow. As always both were a double clutch shift.

We have MS Streets & Trips and Delorme Street Atlas in our laptop. I hate those little tiny GPS screens.
As far as the seat fitting Paula, she only drove the coach about 10 miles this time, just to get the feeling of it. She did not tale time to re-adjust the seat to fit her. If she decides to drive further, we will set up the seat for her. With the seat set-up for me, which it was when she was driving, I love that seat. Most comfortable seat I have ever had in a coach.Jack

Jack is that system available for 4104 and 4905's. I have a friend that is contemplating replacing the tie rods and all bushings and has had some issues with this.

G'Day Jack,

I have been looking around for this GPS / Lap Top stuff for a while now but to no real avail. Does you GPS come across on you lap top as in full screen type of thing. I hate those little GPS screens where you have to get up close to see the bloody things. Now you have mentioned it I am very curious, how or what do you need to bring this to a lap top screen.

We installed a Ross integral power steering box, replacing the OEM hydraulic assist steering. I do not know how much work (modification) would be required on other makes or models.
The MS Streets & Trips and Delorme Street Atlas are software programs that I installed in my laptop. If running only one of the GPS programs, it fills the entire screen. I usually split screen and run both programs simultaneously with each using 1/2 of the screen. Only downside I have found when comparing the laptop based GPS to the small stand alone GPS units is the lack of a touch screen function. Jack

Jacl offered to take the time in Arcadia to show me how his laptop setup works and we never got to it. It will make a great article in Jacks new busing/kayacking magizine. Thats one sharp cockpit and love seeing the co-Pauliot driving!

I figured I'd throw a photo up of the wife driving our 1955 TDH-4512,

Out in the NE California area near Eagles Nest RV Park

No power steering here! You'll notice thumbs out ;-)
