OK, got a quote on a all aluminum radiator, not just a core, $950.00 plus shipping.
Do I get a new one and see how it does or build one and add it to/in line below the left one?
The one to be added would be 550 plus work to install and needs a fan. Guess I know the answer! Thought I may try one? Yes need 2 but $$$$ ????

Spend the money on the expensive aluminum one. We tight wads want to know if they are worth the extra money before we go for one. New members get to be the Guinea pigs.

Chessi, been on, and reading since 2000. Had a MCI -7 that I replaced all the rear air bags, reaired 1 DD3, Gutted and insulated then sold, cause I bought my 8.
Oh i did all that work plus all the conversion and painting at my house in Pa. Shermans Dale. Before I retired. Located a good used 740( original had pan worn through when somone towed it) before I bought it. The engine was very tired. Got this Fire truck engine then drove the (worn out parts) bus to Leid Diesel where the trans and engine where now sittin. After they installed the parts, my wife and I drove to Indina, got some windows and tanks then to S.D. for drivers lisc. next stop southern N.M. then Az. that was Oct. 2009 to May 2010.
Yes it got warm so a lot of 45mph and 10 on the big hills. Now just me and lttle dog (Jeanne passed in fall of 2010) we wanted to life in the bus and I will.
The bus cost at auction $800.00 towing it home $250.00 in 2002!
Thanks for lisetning.
P.S. received an E-mail and picture of a MCI-7 with a 8-92 TA and 2 modafied rads and 4 ELECTRIC FANS and NO squirlcage fans. If I relocted my right side air cleaner it would be doable.

Ralph
Life sure has a way of kicking you at times. You both had planned to retire in the bus and it didn't happen. Make the best of it now even if it is alone with your little dog. A little late but my sincere sympathy to you in your lose.

Leid turboed our 4104 several years ago. I think we were one of their first bus conversion customers. Sons operate it now. Nice family.
