Just wanted to thank everybody for all the very helpful information you supplied on my question. I went to work today on the bus to find my problem and it did not take very long to find out what was going on. Removed both valve covers and could not see anything wrong but when we turned the engine over fuel gushed from one of the injector supply lines. Looks like the people that rebuilt the engine must have tightened one of the nuts too tight and the line broke just above the flare. We will be installing a new line on tomorrow and purchasing a couple extra to have in case of an emergency.

It's great to see a group that helps out in situations like this with no bullshit involved. Thanks again for all the replies, it is greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Cedric,
Great you found it
Dont take a chance. They are cheap, change them ALL out get the book, get a special tool for your ratchet and tourque them all down to DDA specs. If one has been put on wrong or an old one reused by the mechanic chances are there could be more.
Cheap insurance.

John,

Do you know where a person can find the old style jumper lines from DD? We have searched all around our area and are unable to locate anybody that can supply them. There are only two other options: 1) To install the new DD upgraded jumper lines with the o-ring, quoted $118.50/cylinder (canadian dollars) or 2) Make new lines in our shop from brake tubing and the old flared nuts that were already there.

I have the part number for the old jumper lines for use with the DD 6V92 w/jake but need to know who might be able to supply. I would prefer to purchase new ones as an assembly if possible. I think spending $720.00 for the new upgraded lines is a little much.

Let me know if anybody knows of any good DD Parts suppliers.

Thanks,
Cedric
