Hey AL... If you are a printer, be sure you get a Chinese spell checker, I think they are made in the USA |

I'm not certain there is all that much bus stuff of interest in China... Though, I will say that when I went to China in 98 I did experience a few interesting things related to buses. They have long distance buses there that travel the length of the country... The entire bus, as far as I could tell, is filled front to back, floor to ceiling with bunk beds... One of them was parked in front of a "Hospitality" house, our driver explained that the bus driver gets to spend the night inside... Of course, most if not all of his passengers spend the night on board the bus. One of the drivers we had threaded his way with a 40' coach down this narrow pot-holed lane between stone columns and overhanging trees...I was seriously impressed with his ability. Leaving a block of apartments we visited our coach wouldn't start...fortunately it was a manual transmission, several of us got out and pushed and the driver popped the clutch...away we went. Brian |
