Between the lines, it should have read "vehicle finally landed", not: "vehicle landed". It went down an embankment, flipped, slid and tore off part of the roof before finally resting upside down, on it's roof (and some of the occupants). Hey.... *&^# happens. When it's yer time; it's yer time. |

I've heard people say 'Ink Blots" may have looked like Elvis. I never took much interest in the Roshak tests. This is a new field of study for Shrinks. I guess they really have to know their poo. Geez, you cannot even sit on the throne without seeing Elvis. |

CHICAGO (AP) - The bus involved in a fatal accident in Arkansas last weekend had extensive repairs made to its roof and body after an incident south of Chicago two years ago, federal authorities said Friday. Gary Van Etten, the National Transportation Safety Board's lead investigator, would not describe details of the incident. He said it was not yet known whether the damage played any role in the Oct. 9 crash, which killed 14 people and injured 16. Meanwhile, hundreds of mourners filled a Baptist church in Chicago to remember two of the victims: the wife and stepson of the tour bus' owner. NTSB officials previously said they were looking into why sheet metal had been glued and riveted to the bus' roof, adding 600 to 700 pounds to the vehicle's weight. Speaking Friday in West Memphis, Ark., Van Etten said the bus had suffered ``serious damage'' in an incident in Herscher - about 75 miles south of Chicago - on May 24, 2002. He said investigators had removed a new fiberglass skin on the vehicle and found preexisting damage underneath. Van Etten said the damage will be more closely examined, including by a metallurgist next week. |
