Ark. police say 'Careless prohibited driving' caused fatal crash of tour bus

An Arkansas State Police report blames "careless prohibited driving" in the deadly Oct. 9 crash of a tour bus near Marion and cites a passenger complaint about the driver eating as the vehicle cruised down Interstate 55 in the predawn darkness.
The report, released Wednesday, said the Walters Charter and Tours bus -- headed from Chicago to Mississippi casinos -- ran over two signs and became partially airborne as driver Herbert Walters, 67, fought to regain control after veering off the interstate at an exit ramp. |
