To The All Knowing Ones:

I bought a speedO from international bus parts. It is the kind that runs off of the front right wheel useing a magnet. There was not a diagram showing possible mount's for the magnet. Can someone send me a diagram or sketch as to where I can install the magnet? I was told that one should install two bolts on the wheel. This would be picked up by the magnet. I have an Eagle O-1 Any help would be appreciated. Email: Kingrope@aol.com

Thanks,

Ron

Ron, Don't have digram but installed that system on two Eagles left front side. Made a simple bracket that bolted onto the web that holds the brake shoes and held the magnet in the other end. Drilled and tapped two holes 180 degrees apart in the edge of the hub and screwed in two bolts so that the heads were bottomed out aganist the hub. Positioned the magnet bracket where the bolt heads passed by the magnet. Used a credit card thickness for the gap between the bolt haeds and the magnet. There are two wires that run from the magnet to the speedo. You should have the instructions with the speedo as to wiring to the rear of the speedo. If you don't have these, holler. I have them here somewhere. All the electronic speedo's I have seen wire alike. Hope some of this helps, Gene R.

I put a programmable speedometer from SS White on my 4106. I mounted it on the tail of my V730 instead the front wheel I figured this way it would be out of the water and mud and not bouncing up and down. I made a bracket so the pickup would use the heads of the bolts for the drive shaft. It has been on for 5000 miles works good
