Travelling to Mexico, Central & South America is well proposed in Jim Rogers book 'Investment Biker'. His point is that if these countries could get together, provide securiety for the Pan Amer highway, eleminate restrictions, etc., they could enjoy a tremendous tourism industry from all the RV's in US, looking for destinations. And, there's gonna be more as 70 million of us boomers start looking for stuff to do in retirement. He rode a bmw motorcycle around the world back in '80s. Shows up now on cable financial shows like 'forbes on fox'. A great read if you enjoy adventure travel. |

I have seen Canadiens in Mexico in large caravans 50-60 plus RV's. Seems like alot of fun. They had a guide/leader of the droup. Keep me posted and add me to yout list. I would love to go with a large group. You can make it happen by starting a web page where people can "sign up". People will be coming from all over the country we need a focal point to "meet". Make list of things that are needed like spare parts, define places for repairs etc. Then off to the trip. You can reach me at: jd_boggs@yahoo.com |

Any issue of any RV mag will have adds for comercial companies that do this all the time. Most interesting seems to be the Copper Canyon trip , where the Rv is loaded on a flat bed train and dragged thru some really beautyfull & totally remote areas . In some you enf up on the Mexican left coast , take a ferry to Baja and head north on ez roads, FAST FRED |

Another interesting one is the Mississippi River, you put your rig on a barge and float down the Ohio and Mississippi River, also makes stops for towns. Ray D |
