I have a line on a pair of chrome Velvac mirrors with the turn signals on the bottom edge for two hundred dollars. The Mirrors are power and heated but the large part of the mirror glass is broken. How does the "heated" Part of the mirror work? does the glass have the heat lines like a rear window defogger? Will plain mirror for outdoor use work? Thanks Nelson |

Take it to your local auto glass installer, they should have the right type of mirror glass for you. Probably less than ordering a new glass from Velvac. . . FWIW, RJ PD4106-2784 Fresno CA |

I've never dealt with Velvac but if they are anything like Ramco, you would be wise to deal through them. Ramco couldn't have been better to buy from. And you know the heater will be the right one. It'll only cost you a phone call to find out. Jim |

My Mirrors are Velvac, I thought they were great to deal with. Gary |

Local glass shop could replace mirror for custom price and no heat strip behind glass. Velvac product FAQs link and look up question; http://www.velvac.com/faq.htm Click the following; “On-line catalog” “Product” “Mirror” Now pick your mirror number or style. Look thru its page for replacement part number. If you don’t have or know model number, the e-mail your question to technicalservice@velvac.com Like what Jim Ashworth said, I have been to Ramco at Elkhart, IN to get parts and how to remove mirror from housing. Very kind, helpful and price is reasonable. http://www.ramco-eng.com/Faqs.html For what it’s worth. Sojourn for Christ, Jerry |
