OK, have not gotten to try out my Jake as it is not working and have just gotten the bus GMC 1980 H8H-649. It has an 8V71 and Allison 730 auto. There is a switch to turn on the Jake brake but it also has a pedal on the floor that is marked with a factory looking label saying "Engine Brake". What is the pedal for?
Any help?

The "on" switch "arms" the brake, and the foot pedal actuates it. Keeps your hads free to dodge baby buggies. ...JJ |
