Hey guys,
I have an intermittent "missing problem" at highway speeds. Engine is a 6v92DDTA.
Systems are; Engine would be running great for 3-4 hrs., then start hesitating "missing" some, but not alot. Will run this way for some time then stop and run great again. I tend to think it's a fuel problem as the bus was sitting for 6 months before I bought it and was from the East coast and maybe the fuel jelled from the cold. I,m a rookie at this and could use the help figuring this out.
Thanks in advance, Wayne Buttress

I had a miss on one of my yacht diesels that ended up being a sticking valve. An injector problem might also be possible I suppose but I m not so sure that the symptoms would come and go.

anytime a deisel misfires it is usually due to something more than a fuel problem if it is starving for fuel it will usually keep running with much reduced power for it to actually misfiree means that a valve was not closed or an injector did not fire i have a cummins and i know from experience that a misfire is not a good thing not knowing dd's as well i stil would say to make sure it is not something mechinecal
