I was reading the manual for the heart inverter where it says it can be used to power air conditioners, up to 12000 btu, are'nt most Rv type 13,500? |

A big enough inverter can power two ACs. Just depends on the wattage of the inverter and the ACs. I think most rooftops are about 13,500 but it comes down to watt ratings. Also, the start-up wattage is important to make sure the inverter can handle the start-up surge. |

Dometic and Coleman both make high efficiency units that operate on about 10 amps (I think that's about 1200 watts) A 2500 watt inverter should handle that assumming you are charging batteries with engine while driving down the road. This configuration is an alternative to running the generator to run the AC while on the road. |
