I had the engine/transmission removed from my 87 Eagle 15 for the purpose of repairing rusted engine rail/misc rust and am now ready to put back together. While this was being done I also had to relocate/tow the bus to a new location and now have come to realize that certain parts have been misplaced/lost/trashed. The part/s I am now missing(in my opinion)should never have been removed, just doesn't look like they needed to be taken off. Nevertheless, what I need is the "drive gear" unit that comes out of the top of the drop box on top of the drive axle. Looking at the Eagle manual on page "DROP BOX 2D-3" it looks to be marked as parts # 1 - 16 & # 36 (if I am understanding what I am looking at). Also after learning that I was missing these parts, the mechanic doing this work for me pointed out that one of the teeth on the rear idler gear (part # 28) inside the drop box was half broke off. We decided the best thing to do was to remove the entire drop box and inspect it. Where should I go to look to buy these parts and can I buy them as individual pcs or will I need to purchase the complete drop box? Thanks for any and all help, Phil |
