Hardin Ridge is a beautiful National Forest Service recreation area in the Hoosier National Forest, with boat ramp onto Indiana's largest man made lake, swimming beach & large picnic areas and 3 shelter houses. It has over 200 campsites, walk-ins to sites large enough for 40' class A or bus. Each campground loop has modern clean restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. In between sites are stands of trees to give you privacy. This is one of Indiana's best kept secrets. The rate for an electric camping site with shared water is $15 per night. If you are camping, the swimming beach and the launching of your boat is included. The state of Indiana has had to raise the fees for camping in state owned campgrounds to over $22 per night. Hardin Ridge is located about half way between Indianapolis & Louisville, KY. It makes a good place to stay for day trips to either city. If you are close enough or if you are traveling through Indiana come and check it out. I am sure that you will want to return. Wanda |
