Pulled in here after we were told "no buses" at Mountain Shadows in South Salt Lake. Century is in South Ogden right next to I-5. Very nice campground and people have a good attitude. Busses welcome. Jim

I have never encountered the No Buses you seem to find so often.

What bus do you camp with , and what does it look like?

We stayed at Century last week and they were very accommodating, despite the fact that they had a square dancing convention coming in.

What I've found is that many parks state that they only take RVIA approved RV's, but have never had it checked. Some say no busses, meaning no skoolies. I simply tell them I have an MCI Challenger II and that it is a 40 footer. Never been turned away.

I've only encountered one "no buses" campground there Fred, and I've only posted the one. Since you don't want email from your posts you'll have to look on my site www.1-20.com under about us. Click on the picture at the bottom and it will show you some pics of the bus. Doesn't really matter to me if my bus meets with your approval or not Fred. Jim

Of course not I don't own / manage the campground you were denied access to.

Your coach looks normal enough, suprised you were hassled.

The older Skoolie conversions with Psycedellic paint , or white wash peeling off the old yellow paint are usually the ones denied access.A really ratty coach in the "process" , may be hasseled too.

With the larger turning radiuses of coaches , compared to 40 ft sticks & staples on a 20 ft UPS truck chasis , many older parks are not easy to navigate.
Some owners understand their sites & roads have limits.

Could also have been complaints from some past bus IDIOT that high idled a stinker at 5 or 6 AM for an hour.

Or a clown that attemted to run the noisemaker to survive in TEC (Total Electric Coach) with only a 15A outlet.

IT IS RARE! that a nice looking coach will be turned away.

But, I have had knowledgable campground owners take me in the golf cart to show me the site , and ask if I could get in.

I prefer the blue & brown highways , older campgrounds with tons of trees , dirt access roads ,

to the pull thru in a bare field next to the slab some prefer.
