If you have never been to Alaska you have to include in your itinerary a trip to Homer. It is known for being the halibut fishing capitol of the world. It's beauty is breath taking a trip you will be glad you took. There are numerous places in Alaska to stay with your bus but some of the isolated state campgrounds are a little tight to get into. Lot's of pull offs along the way to Homer. Once in Homer the spit offers the best location to park your bus at the fishing hole campground for those who don't want or need amenities at a rate of approximately 15.00 i believe and the views are astounding. Right next to it is the Heritage RV park and has all the amenities a person could want including the spectacular views and a miniature golf course.
